Delete Your GTLaunch Account

Last updated: August 30, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your account for GTLaunch — the GTLaunch app for Android and iOS, published by Asphalt Racing LLC at gtlaunch.com — together with the personal data associated with that account. There are two ways to make the request. Both lead to the same result; choose whichever fits your situation.

Option 1 — Delete your account from inside the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately. Use it if you still have the app installed and can sign in.

  1. Open the GTLaunch app and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap the profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the settings icon to open the Settings screen.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Read the confirmation notice and tap Confirm.
  6. Enter your account password when prompted, then tap Confirm again.

Your account is closed immediately, you are signed out, and you will no longer be able to sign in with those credentials. Deletion of the stored data then proceeds on the schedule described below.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or have lost access to your phone number or email address.

  1. Send an email to support@gtlaunch.com with the subject line “Account deletion request”.
  2. Include the phone number or email address the account was registered with, and your GTLaunch username.
  3. We will reply to confirm we can identify the account. We may ask one or two questions to verify that the account is yours — this protects you from someone else deleting your data.
  4. Once ownership is verified, we close the account and begin deletion. We confirm by email when this is complete.

We acknowledge every request within 5 business days and complete verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete the following from our servers and cloud storage:

  • Account details — username, phone number, email address, hashed password, avatar image, profile signature, and the country / state / city on your profile.
  • Garage data — the vehicles you added, their photos, and their modification lists.
  • Driving and performance data — drag runs, track sessions, lap and split times, GPS traces (latitude, longitude, speed, heading), and acceleration (G-force) samples uploaded from your device.
  • Uploaded media — photos and videos you uploaded when sharing a post or setting an avatar, including the copies held by our cloud storage provider.
  • Social activity — your Discover posts, comments, likes, and your follow / follower relationships.
  • Device pairing records — the names and identifiers of GTLaunch hardware paired to your account.
  • Diagnostic data linked to your account — crash reports and performance traces that can be associated with your user ID.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Data stored on your own device — sessions, recorded videos, and settings held locally by the app are not on our servers and are not affected by an account deletion. Remove them by deleting the items in the app, clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app.
  • Encrypted backups — deleted records may persist in routine backups for up to 30 days after deletion, after which those backups are overwritten. They are not used to restore deleted accounts.
  • Purchase and transaction records — if you bought GTLaunch hardware from us, order, invoice, and payment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law, typically up to 7 years. These records are kept for legal compliance only and are not used to re-identify you in the app.
  • Anonymised and aggregated data — statistics that can no longer be linked to you or your account may be retained indefinitely.
  • Records we are legally required to keep — where law, a valid legal process, or the investigation of fraud or abuse requires retention, we keep the minimum necessary for the minimum period required, then delete it.

Delete your data without deleting your account

You do not have to close your GTLaunch account to have data removed. Some content you can delete yourself inside the app; for everything else, we delete it on request. Your account stays active either way.

Delete it yourself — removed from our servers

  • A Discover post — open the Discover feed, tap the delete control on your own post, then confirm. The post and the photos or video attached to it are removed.
  • A comment — open the post, tap the delete control on your own comment, then confirm.
  • Profile details — go to the profile tab and tap Edit to change or clear your username, avatar, signature, and country / state / city. The new values replace the old ones on our servers.

Delete it yourself — removed from your device

  • Recorded videos — profile tab → Video → tap a video → Delete.
  • Session records — open the History tab and swipe a drag or track record to the side to delete it.

These two remove the copy held on your phone. If you had previously uploaded that session to the cloud — for example by sharing it to the leaderboard or to Discover — the uploaded copy stays on our servers. Use the email request below to have it removed as well.

Request deletion of anything else

For data you cannot remove from inside the app — uploaded session records, leaderboard entries, media stored in our cloud storage, or any other personal data — send us a request:

  1. Email support@gtlaunch.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
  2. Include the phone number or email address your account is registered with, and describe which data you want deleted.
  3. We reply to confirm we can identify the account, and may ask a question or two to verify it is yours.
  4. Once verified we delete the data and confirm by email. We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete verified requests within 30 days. Your account remains active and you can keep using the app.

Data covered by the retention rules in What is kept, and for how long — for example purchase invoices we are legally required to retain — cannot be deleted on request. We will tell you if any part of your request falls into that category.
